The pasteurizer with overspraying has the simple but also very good effect that pasteurizing and cooling are used instead of the normally used hollow cone spraying nozzles now so-called rinser plates which catch the water up to a certain height and then release through the holes in the floor area.

The principle is similar to that of a rainwater shower. Small water filaments pass from the top downwards over the containers and ensure that the product is evenly pasteurized with hot and cold water.

A further advantage of this system is that when the soiling / contamination in the water is used, the rinsing sheets can be easily cleaned from the outside and, if necessary, removed.

This does not result in dead spaces concerning water / transfer hot / cold. The small disadvantage in this case is that it is very expensive to construct and correspondingly more expensive than conventional nozzle sets

Construction

The containers are fed to the pasteurizer via the inlet conveyor in the drainage process. In the pre-treatment zone, water is sprayed with water from the "hot cooling zone" in the circulation process. The pasteurizing zone and cooling zone are each operated with tubs with perforation for overflowing with hot and then cold water.

At the inlet and outlet transfer ridegs are placed to transfer the package to the main conveyor belt (plastic module belt). The pre spraying zone is fed with water from the warmest cooling zone.

In the pasteurizing zone a so called foot bath is possible. By lowering the module chain in this zone as well as variably adjustable water level.

Pasteurizing is one of the core elements of ten Brink. Over the decades, we have built more than 300 different pasteurisers in various designs. In the field of price / performance, we are the market leader in this sector.

The pasteurization in the water bath is still the safest and most effective way to ensure that the product in the glass has come into contact with the medium pasteurizing water / hot water and later cooling water / cold water.

The disadvantage of the water bath pasteurizer is that it requires a high energy expenditure. Large amounts of water must be circulated and tempered accordingly. In addition, the effort to build these plants is much higher and more cost intensive.

Construction

The water bath pasteurizer is produced as a self-supporting bucket construction. The covers lie loosely in the water tank. The outflow of the pasteurizing zone is sprayed from above by spraying systems. The heating pipe registers (2 pieces) are divided into "main heating and post-heating".

The tub has a one-sided slope and cleaning ducts on both sides. On the operating side, water boxes are fitted with the corresponding pumps, including piping and thermometers, pressure gauges, adjustable butterfly valves.

In the pasteurizing zone, a buffer tank is constructed in which the excess heated water from the pasteurizing zone is automatically pumped and can be re-used later, if necessary, in order to save energy.

The inlet is made of stainless steel, including 2 inspection openings. At the outlet a stainless steel extraction hood is located.

The flow pasteurizer can be produced in various lengths and widths.

Flow pasteurization in the continuous process can be carried out in two ways:

  1. Over-spraying over the entire length. This would mean that both the pasteurizing zone and the cooling zone are sprayed with hot water and then with cold water.
  2. Spray with foot bath. This is the best method and most effective method to ensure a continuous process and increase the quality of the product.

When spraying with a footbath, the pasteurisation area is sprayed with hot water from above as well as the container is immersed in a height- adjustable foot bath that can be adjusted up to 150 mm. The heat transfer so called convection is further enhanced by this effect.

Construction

The continuous or tunnel pasteurizer is produced as a self-supporting bucket construction. The covers lie loosely in the water lock. The pasteurizing and cooling zones are sprayed from above through special spraying systems (spraying sticks for screw connection with milk pipe connection DIN 11850) as well as hollow cone spray nozzles made of PP "blue").

The tub has a one- sided slope. On the operating side, water boxes and additional cleaning doors are installed to clean the system from one side.

The disc valves located in the bottom of the water boxes are grouped together in a collection line. The piping between the spray booths and waterboxes (pumps) is made of high-quality stainless steel W. St. 1.4571 with double-sided milk tube fittings and disc valves for easy disassembly and / or pump exchange.

If possible, the tub heat exchangers are placed on the system and screwed. Each zone is equipped with thermometer and manometer. To control the temperature in the pasteurizing zone, Pt100 is used together with 3rd step stepping regulators and electrically controlled control valves.

The infeed belt is rebuilt to prevent a larger vapour discharge. The pasteurizing zone is insulated on the sides, cover and bottom 50 mm and is sealed with stainless steel jacket. For the insulation, aluminum-lined mineral wool is used on both sides.
